Expanded Metal is formed from a single piece of metal which involves slitting and stretching the metal to create holes instead of punching or cutting it out. By expanding metal from its solid sheet form additional strength is added, thus making it ideal for catwalks, ramps, walkways and platforms. Expanded Metal Mesh can be made from a wide range of materials, namely mild steel expanded mesh, galvanized expanded mesh, and stainless steel expanded mesh and other alloys.

 

Formed from a single piece of metal, expanded metal possesses many properties, making it a very versatile material suitable for applications across many industries including: a wide range of industrial, commercial and domestic applications.

 

Most of our stainless steel meshes are produced from grade 1.4301 (304SS). Choose below for our choice of flattened and raised stainless steel 304 expanded metal. Stainless steel expanded metal mesh comes in two forms: raised mesh and flattened mesh, both of which offer different properties

 

Raised expanded metal sheet introduction: 

 

Raised expanded metal sheet is the common type of expanded metal sheet. The raw material sheets are slit and stretched into diamond, hexagonal and other hole patterns. Compared with flattened expanded metal sheet, which has a smooth surface, the raised expanded metal sheet has a slightly raised surface, which can supply better anti-slip performance. Additional, it will add additional strength and rigidity to the expanded metal sheet.
